Is it really free to start?
Yes. The free tier gives you the complete scoring experience — live Stableford, handicap guidance, putts/penalties/club tracking and stats — with one course and up to five saved scorecards. No card, no trial countdown.
What does the €5 Pro unlock?
It removes the free caps: unlimited courses and unlimited saved scorecards, plus importing as many shared courses as you like. It’s a single one-time payment — no subscription — and future updates are included.
How does paying and upgrading work?
Checkout is handled securely by Stripe. After your one-time payment you receive a SOGOLFY unlock code; open the app, go to Settings → Sogolfy Pro, enter the code, and the limits lift instantly. Your card details never touch the app, and everything still stays on your device.
Do I need an account?
No. SoGolfy never asks you to sign up. Everything is stored locally on your device, which is why it works completely offline.
How is my handicap calculated?
SoGolfy follows the World Handicap System: it derives your course handicap from the tee’s slope and course rating, applies your chosen allowance for the playing handicap, then distributes strokes across holes by stroke index.
Does it work without internet?
Completely. Rounds, courses and stats all live on the phone, so you can score in airplane mode in the middle of nowhere and it just works.
Can I move my data to a new phone?
Yes — export a JSON backup any time and import it on another device. Your courses and rounds come with you.
